Hosting and supportA stable hosting environment for you and your customers is the basis of the partner programme. In combination with the professional support by e-mail and telephone you are ensured of a special supplement to your services. Here you can read more about the technical structure of our hosting environment and the structure of our support organisation.
Servers
Our website is placed in the Nxs Internet hosting cluster. In this cluster, the different services are separated on physical different machines. This offers you ,among a better performance, extra security: if there needs to be a security update, it will only have to be done on the machines that are offering the service. In the cluster several www-, ftp-, shell-, mysql-, mssql-, mail-, file-, firewall- en nameservers are in use. If one of these machines breaks down, the service is transferred automatically to another machine with the same service thanks to our elaborate load balancers. The server load is spread over several machines so your website will always appear as fast as lightning on the screen of your visitors.
Network
Besides of a fast and stable server it is also crucial to have a good Internet connection. Without a fast and stable Internet connection, your websites are after all still unavailable. Nxs Internet controls the Internet connection: in this matter we do not depend on a third party. Our own data center accommodates the hosting cluster which is connected with our own network. The network exists of two 1000 Mbit connections with the Dutch interchanges AMS-IX and NL-IX and it has several 100 Mbit connections with network suppliers worldwide. As a whole more than 1000 physical servers are provided with an Internet connection from our data centre.
Administration and monitoring
The machines that host your streams also have to be administered, off course. Our technical team takes care of the newest stable software versions and installs security patches as soon as these are available. An intern and extern monitoring system keeps a close eye on all of the services of our cluster. When a service fails, immediate action is being taken, both during as after the office hours.
