Liable streaming
Streaming is providing images or sound files on the Internet. As these files are often large, they are “streamed”.
This means that the fragment needs to be sent to the user in small parts. Some of those parts are always buffered, so that the stream can appear uninterrupted on the Internet. The user does not need to wait until whole files are downloaded.
Streams can be provided in several bitrates, measured in kbps. The stream quality on the screen of the user is a determined by a combination of the stream and the internet connection of the user.
