Control over your VM
Nxs Internet delivers a license for the Vmware Infrastructure Client with every Virtual Machine. This software enables you to make a full server out of your VM. Here you can read more about the possibilities of the Infrastructure Client.
Users administration
We activate an own username with password when you place your first order. Next you will be able to administer all your VMs with one user. The software needed will be available for download when you place your first order. You can also distinguish between several users and the VMs they can administer.
Console
Depending on the operating system you have installed on your VM you will gain access to your own server via SSH (Linux) or RDP (Windows). Our software also gives you the direct console access to your server. This makes visits to a data centre a thing of the past: you can simple control everything behind your screen as if you were in front of your own server.
General information
You can see the general information on the homepage of your VM. In this way you will see the amount of processor capacity has been allocated to you and how much precent is actually being used. You can also consult the memory and disk space use. You can reset your server on the general overview, for instance when it has stopped functioning.
CD-ROM and Floppy
When installing your operating system or additional software it can be necessary to use a CD-ROM or floppy disk. The Vmware Infrastructure software enables you to connect the CD-ROM or floppy station of your local PC to your virtual server. In this way your VM responds as if the CD of floppy has been put directly into the virtual server.
Alarms
VVMware can detect events on your virtual server automatically and can report them if necessary. In that way e-mails or SMS messages can be sent automatically without the amount of memory use exceeds a certain limit or when the processor load is too high. These “alarms” can easily be configured with the Infrastructure client.
Statistics
Besides of our standard statistics of the data traffic use of your own server you have loads of additional charts at your disposal with the Vmware software. You can easily compose charts about the processor use, memory use and disk space use of your own server by means of the infrastructure client. The report will be put real-time in the screen and can be exported to PDF or Excel extension. You can consult the actual use but also the history of use of the last six months, for instance.
