Nxs Internet, one of the most important service providers on the Dutch Hosting market, has been selected of one of the three finalists of the entrepreneurship election Noord Holland 2008/2009, which was being held in Zaandam. The entrepreneurship is recognition for the entrepreneurship in the province. It is an initiative to show the appreciation for the entrepreneurs in the province and was being held for the third time. The entrepreneurship is an initiative of the province of Noord-Holland, ABN Amro, Chambers of commerce Randstad, MKB Noord-Holland and HDC media.

From the 85 applications Nxs Internet was nominated by a jury to one of the top ten companies who fought last night during a gala dinner for the title: Best Entrepreneur Noord-Holland 2008/2009. Nxs Internet was exclaimed by the jury to the top three best entrepreneurships of Noord-Holland. Jury president Jaap Bond, representative Province Noord-Holland, "even though there are more companies specialized in domain registration and internet hosting, is Nxs Internet distinctive. This is a product of daring entrepreneurship which already has an acquired place and built up a good name". The fact that the initiators were minor when they started makes it extra interesting.
To be a part of this election the companies have to be registered for at least 3 years at the chamber of commerce, they have to have at least 5 employers, they must be able to show a positive company result en they have to have a visibility on the company continuity. Siemon van den Berg, one of the founders and director of Nxs Internet: "We knew from the start of this company to realize a huge growth. In our own datacenter, which we opened a year ago in Amsterdam, we continue to keep an eye on the environment and justified applications, like cooling techniques, green stream and different measurements for the CO2-compensations. That we have been selected to the top three entrepreneurships of Noord-Holland makes us very proud and motivates us to have more attention for the innovation and green initiatives. I would like to congratulate the winner of the night Dick Ranzijn, director of Rodi Media, with his deserved victory."
