Thunderbird is the email and news client of Mozilla, also known from the browser Firefox. If you have opened Thunderbird, you should configure the proper information first to download your email. At the top of the screen, go to Tools > Account Settings.
Select ‘Email account’ and click ‘Next’.
Fill in your name in the 'Identity' screen of the wizard, as it will appear in the header of your email messages. Although you can fill in whatever you want, we recommend using a recognizable name, preferably spelled like in a normal text. Fill in your email in ‘Email Address’.
In this screen, enter POP if you want to download the mail from the server and IMAP if you want to read the mail from the server. The incoming server is mail.yourdomaine.ext. You can disable Use Global Inbox if you want to create a separate folder for this mail account.
Fill in the email address in Incoming User name.
For your account name, you can enter a name that will be included in the overview of Thunderbird.
Finally, the account has been configured and is now ready to download email.
