Data centres

Nxs now has over 1000 of physical servers in its network. It has its own suites in its two data centres in Amsterdam that are only accessible to our clients and staff.

The first data centre, DCG Amsterdam, is located in Amsterdam Sloterdijk and is the largest location that NXS has in use. Nxs Internet has 600m2 available to place about 200 serverracks and more.

The second location, Global Switch, was opened in 2006 and also has its AMS-IX connection. Inside of Global Switch Nxs Internet has its own suite with a surface of 50 m².

Both locations meet the high standards of air-conditioning, security and the supply of current. The two data centres are located 10 km of one another and they are connected with each other via a dark fiberglass ring.

Nxs Internet also has room in SARA Data centre located in Amsterdam Watergraafsmeer. Network devices and (inter)national connections with Nxs Internet network are located inside SARA Data Centre.
