Fibre Optic Ring

Nxs Internet has its own dark fibre glass fibre ring between the data centres of DCG Amsterdam, Global Switch and SARA.

We can offer you a dedicated 100 Mbit or 1 Gbit VLAN between these locations. This direct connection can be used for backup goals, load balancing/heartbeat configurations and/or risk spread.

IP addresses with Nxs Internet can be used on both locations. This gives you many possibilities to divide redundantly critical applications about these data centres; configurations in which Nxs Internet supports you permanently or just once. You will not be charged with data traffic on the dedicated VLAN. Thanks to the internal traffic the data transfer is very safe.

The VLAN between the locations goes through the darkfibre glass fibre ring of Nxs Internet. If one route of the ring fails the traffic is automatically sent to the other route.
