Job PHP programmer
Nxs Internet is a Dutch ICT-supplier in the hosting market. This is a young and dynamic market of services concerning external data storage, content management, e-business and internet services. We work very hard to expand the success we have seen in recent years. Therefore, we are now located in a brand new office centre in Amsterdam Sloterdijk. In this centre, close to Sloterdijk Station, we have a separate wing, which we have decorated to our own desire. In 2007 we built our own data centre of 2500 m² in the neighbourhood, which contains more than hundred operational servers for our customers.

What do we need?
PHP programmer
We are looking for a PHP programmer for our programmer team. You will work on the corporate system that is developed by Nxs and contains the overall corporate process. The system reflects the overall product and order control and flow, the corresponding actions and services, the technical actions and support and all client activities and contacts. Internal processes are also controlled by this system. The (internal) organization Nxs is your customer/initiator.
Activities
The Nxs development team innovates and works on existing environments, which they have created themselves. As part of this team it is a challenge to bring about new developments and automates them even more. You develop corporate system applications independently. You develop new functionalities and extensions. You are capable of making an inventory and determining specifications before you develop applications. You work together as a team, constantly upgrading the corporate system.
Who do we consider the perfect candidate?
- Experience with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, Ajax, XML/RSS, object orientated programming
- Experience with working with projects
- Experience with MVC-framework is a must (preferably CakePHP)
- You are up to date with new technical developments as programming and especially PHP is concerned.
- You have reached a HBO working and thinking level and have at least 2 years programming experience
- You are strong in analyzing and solving problems, you are capable of working independently and well structured, and you can manage multiple projects of your own. You have sense of responsibility.
